The Fourth Trimester

Reduce the stigma of postpartum depression amongst new parents whilst encouraging them to speak up about their emotions and struggles. ‘The Fourth Trimester’ is an organisation created to help educate and support you through your postpartum depression experience. We provide services and classes to those who find it difficult to reach out and seek help. You will learn techniques as coping mechanisms which will help distract your thoughts.

Community of Hope

#thefourthtrimester is a social media campaign that aims to inspire women and their families to cope and speak up about postpartum depression (PPD).

The Instagram page will focus on posting empathetic stories about what mothers and spouses experience with PPD. Sharing PPD stories will help reduce the stigma and embarrassment revolving around the diagnosis whilst creating a comfortable/safe platform for users. Story submissions will be made through the organisation ’s main website. The website will contain all necessary information about the organisation, reservations for zoom classes, a store to purchase merchandise and a brochure that can be purchased for medical information about PPD.

Audience Participation

Art techniques such as sketching or painting will be introduced in the Zoom classes for participants to create an artwork.

Based on the art technique chosen by the participant a local artist will then develop the artwork further to accentuate its purpose and meaning. The profits made will be donated to a family in need/ struggling.
